BIO
New Zealand based songwriter and producer Joe Faris is known for creating well-crafted music with strong pop sensibilities. First emerging onto the scene with his artist project Ezra Vine, Joe wrote and produced the breakout indie-folk single ‘Celeste’ in his bedroom, which went on to break NZ On Air’s record for their most streamed song to date; now sitting at 96 million plays on Spotify.
After a stint making music in the UK, Joe has spent the past few years back in New Zealand writing and producing music for a range of different artists. Recently, he has co-written and produced singles for local NZ talents Georgia Lines (with ‘Faith’ hitting the #1 NZ song on NZ Radio), MACEY, Daily J, Christabel and Julius Black.
A keen multi-instrumentalist, Joe blends vintage and analogue sounds with modern pop production; crafting lyrics and arrangements with a sharp attention to detail. He’s also written and produced commercial music for local and international clients; with projects including the theme song for US film ‘The Great Wolf Pack’, a sonic rebrand for NZ Herald, campaigns for Air New Zealand and Oppo, and production music for TV shows The Masked Singer and Dancing With The Stars.
