STUDIO A
Nestled in the heart of Kingsland, Auckland, Parachute Studios provide a one-stop shop for musicians, with a hub of studios and songwriting spaces.
Studio A is our main recording studio, complete with a Control Booth, Live Room and Iso Booth. This full-spec studio can be used for everything from recording 30-piece choirs and full band projects, to filming live sessions. Studio A comes fully equipped with it’s own kitchen and lounge area, and we have a wide range of gear and vintage instruments available to be used during your session.

When you book Studio A, we’ll arrange to have one of the below engineers running your session. Please note, engineers are booked at our discretion.

A day booking at Studio A day runs for 8 hours, and usually starts at 10am. We also offer a half day option, for 4 hour bookings.

You will need to use the in-house engineer we allocate to your session, but please feel free to bring your own producer.

We have a number of talented in-house engineers on call, and our team will choose one for you that will be suited to your project. Please note, there is an additional fee if you want to book a specific engineer for your project.

Yes - Studio A has it’s own kitchen facilities. Our team is also pretty good on the coffee machine.

We’re situated right before the main Kingsland shops, where there are tons of great eateries - whether you feel like sushi, Subway, bakery food, kebabs or pizza.

Please let us know if you require mixing at the time of your booking and we can help you make a plan. If time allows, we can ask our engineer to complete the mix during your booking; otherwise we can arrange for your song to be mixed afterwards.

We have a number of carparks available around the back of our building. If you have a big group coming, we can accomodate
3 - 4 parks on site, and there are usually plenty of parks on the streets nearby as well. -
Please let us know in advance if you are wanting to film in Studio A, and we can discuss rates with you at the time of booking.
Recording basic footage on your phone for social media is fine. -
Every Studio A booking includes one of our in-house engineers, and they’ll be able to help you record and arrange your song. All our engineers have experience with building tracks from start to finish.
If you’d like to book a specific producer, please see the producers listed above who you can request for an additional fee. -
Please read our comprehensive Studio Gear list above, which lists all the instruments and gear available in Studio A. You are welcome to use the studio’s instruments during your session, or feel free to bring any of your own.
