BIO

Originally hailing from Miami, John Garcia is a highly experienced recording and mixing engineer, whose work spans everything from hip-hop, R&B and pop; to punk, orchestral pieces and avant garde improv.

Starting out as a drummer, John began working as an engineer in 2011. Moving to New York, he spent time working under Grammy nominated producer Ben Bronfman (Kanye West, Teachers, The Exit) honing his skills as a recording engineer, and gaining a deep knowledge of integrating experimental sounds with live instrumentation.

From there, John moved to Toronto, focussing on vocal production and mixing for artists including anders, TOBi, Mick Jenkins, Ebhoni, Baby Rose and more. During this time he mixed over 350 released projects.

John’s work is now a culmination of his years of experience. He enjoys bending and clashing genres, providing artists with sounds that are both nostalgic and push the envelope into new worlds.
